David Kamp
Living Memorials Project Consultant for Design Considerations; Thriving Places, Sacred Spaces Workshop Presenter
David Kamp is the founding principal of Dirtworks, Inc. of New York, a landscape architectural firm internationally recognized for designs that enhance the restorative quality of the natural environment. A licensed landscape architect, Kamp has over 23 years of professional experience in the private and public sector including involvement in the design of Australia's New Parliament House and in a wide range of projects throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. Kamp has completed an artist's residency at the MacDowell Colony and a Loeb Fellowship in Advanced Environmental Studies at Harvard University. Kamp speaks regularly around the country and Europe and is an annual Guest Speaker at the University of Virginia School of Architecture and Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. Kamp is also one of the co-founders of Meristem, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to working with public and private institutions to promote nature's role in the improvement of human health and well-being through the development of Restorative Gardens in health care settings.
